On Little Munchkins and Boy/Girlfriends

We love kids, we really do.

That said, this isn't (necessarily) a kid-friendly wedding. Don't worry, no strippers, but we are not renting a bouncy tent (if you've ever read a wedding magazine, this seems to be a common suggestion) and there will be a vodka bar and food like quince paste. Of course, we have talked to a few people and are totally okay with their kids coming for various reasons, just talk to us first.

Which brings me to... boyfriends, girlfriends, people hired to be wedding dates (have I watched too many wedding movies?):

Our wedding will be very small. If you're invited, it means we love you lots. (Or, in a few circumstances, mom loves you lots.) If you have a wife or a husband or are in a serious relationship we tried to remember to put that person on the invitation. If we forgot to put your significant other on the invitation (and I know I forgot at least a few), please let us know when you RSVP and, of course, they are welcome to come. That said, because of the size of the wedding, we're discouraging bringing plus ones just for the sake of bringing someone. BUT, if you would feel more comfortable bringing a date, please let us know and I'm sure we can comply. We are just trying to avoid the whole, "I've been dating this guy for at least 30 minutes... can he come to your wedding?" thing.

Email elenacwilson@gmail.com if you have any guest requests or to remind us that we made a huge mistake and forgot to invite your husband of 43 years.
